After 3 months, over 100 emails exchanged with Flavien, a voyage halfway around the world, I have taken delivery of the 1990 Morris Mini Mayfair from Japan. It has 13XXX miles. It is a 25 year old car for sure, but it is great. Thanks to Flavien for being awesome, and patient and knowledgeable! I have some work I need to do before I give the car to my wife, but there will be more to come in the next few weeks

Awesome, those things are a riot - even the non-Cooper ones.

Nice ex-Australian Land Rover 110 Perentie.
An Australian built for their forces. Powered by a 3.9 litre Isuzu diesel engine.
This looks like a regular early unit while some later ones were widened by a foot and windscreen increased by two or three inches in height and some made into 6x6 guise.
My favourite

You’re a good man... Now to figure out which car I can do this with for Mrs. addiction eventually!

You have a center binnacle, and there’s room for a Weber? Is there no air cleaner on it?

So you own a totaled Evo with a working drivetrain and a classic Mini. Now you have a really bad idea.

So I just found this looking to see if anyone had actually put an Evo drivetrain in a Mini:
According to the build log its 363HP and 360ft-lbs and it appears to be RWD.

That would be frightening, but something that has been discussed.

Just took a peak at one of the pics and it has a tiny air cleaner.
